At its core, ImageShare is a tool for connecting physicians and specialists; building and improving networks for the sake of the patient. Although ImageShare is very much an open platform with a vast swath of uses and benefits, we see three main ways ImageShare can help your facility:
Currently, the patient’s care schedule is influenced largely by an inefficient process. Meaning that when a patient is treated is often determined by when his or her CD arrives in the mail. With ImageShare, care can be delivered at the moment determined most necessary. This level of access to images means a patient can now go from laying in a bed at a regional center to laying on the operating table at a tertiary care center in less than a day. Compare this to the two to three days the patient would normally spend waiting for the CD with his or her images to arrive before he or she can even be transferred.
ImageShare ensures that the right physician treats the right patient. ImageShare ensures physicians have an opportunity to view images prior to the patient even being transferred. The specialist can determine for certain if the patient will be treatable at the referral facility. This eliminates the occurrence of unnecessary patient transfers. Not only does avoiding unnecessary transfers reduce risk, it also opens beds for those that can most benefit from the available care. From a cost perspective unnecessarily housing patients can be a significant drain on resources.
You do not pay for ImageShare on a strict per image basis. This means that you are free to share as many images as you wish without worrying about running up your center’s tab. We do this to make ImageShare a true platform for quick and spontaneous collaboration. Our temporary share feature to allows physicians without an ImageShare account to access selected images. Through this, you are able to get an informed second opinion from specialists you personally know and trust regardless of geographic location all within moments.
How do we build your network?
By educating, not just our paying users but the hospitals and physicians in the surrounding area. Our technology builds communities. And the strength of a community comes from it’s constituent parts. Any technology, regardless of how beneficial, will fail if any level of user fails to understand it. We will not let you fail to understand our technology. Our users’ (whether they are paid or simply working with one of our customers) understanding of our system—along with security—is our main focus. We ensure our site is usable by even the most techno-phobic individual. We do this in two ways: First, by focusing heavily on making the site intuitive and simple. Second, and more importantly, by reaching out and talking with all centers who touch ImageShare. Whether it is a small community center trying to upload to a tertiary facility or a large health system trying to send an image overseas, we take the time to make them comfortable with our system regardless of whether or not they’ve written us a check. We are here to ensure your network functions to its fullest potential. This is how we standout, and this is how you can standout too.
